Recognition exist to guarantee the quality of care. They ensure that therapists and care providers meet professional standards and encourage them to undertake ongoing training. This way they stay informed of the latest knowledge and working methods. For clients, recognitions provide clarity and confidence, because they know that they are being guided by recognized and well-trained professionals. In addition, ethical guidelines ensure that care providers work in a respectful and responsible manner, which safeguards the integrity of the profession.
As an organization, we are recognized by:
– BBTC: Belgian Professional Association of Therapists and Coaches. www.bbtc.be
It offers coaches and therapists the right framework, expertise, and growth to optimally guide their clients. Through training, peer supervision, and shared knowledge, professionals strengthen each other in their field as well as in entrepreneurship. In this way, this strong network collectively builds a recognized quality label that also serves as a dialogue partner with the government. Students who complete the Somatic Experiencing training can become members of BBTC.
– ABP-BVP: Belgian Association for Psychotherapy. https://abp-bvp.be
ABP-BVP's focus is specifically on uniting, accrediting, and representing psychotherapists. They have been working on a legal framework for psychotherapy in Belgium since 1998. They do this in close collaboration with the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP). Together, they connect and support therapists at both national and European levels. Through this, they contribute directly to better regulations and quality for the client. Additionally, they advocate for the interests of therapists with the government and health insurance funds to obtain recognized status. All our training programs are recognized by ABP-BVP.
